about
We are the Toosey Norfolk Terriers and we have been bred for over 20 years,
with much love and adoration, here at Park Hall in St.Osyth, Essex, England.
Our Kennel Club affix ‘Toosey’ comes from the village of St. Osyth which was
named after the daughter of the first Christian King of East Anglia. Osyth was
an Anglican Princess who in the year 650 married Sighere, the King of Essex.
Osyth lived in Chich which was renamed St. Osyth after Osyth was beheaded by
marauding Danes for refusing to worship idols. The Essex dialect pronunciation
of St. Osyth was ‘Toosey’ and this name is still widely used today.
As Kennel Club Assured Breeders, Toosey Norfolks support good breeding practice
and the encouragement of breeding healthy, well-adjusted puppies. The Kennel
Club is the only organisation accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation
Service (UKAS) to certify dog breeders, under the Kennel Club Assured Breeder
Scheme. As a result we are all happy, healthy and well balanced dogs who share
our life with everyone here at Park Hall in St. Osyth.
We have over 500
